Minimum Degree in Graphic Design or equivalent.
Has a passion for food, music.
At least 1 year working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Able to work under tight deadlines.
Good all-rounder - conceptual thinker, strong design ability.
Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, website design.
Must be well-organized, good at multi-tasking, and keeping on top of a schedule when things get crazy. Because they will.
Photography skills is an added advantage.
Portfolio is required pre-interview.

For a photography exhibition & talk themed 'Environment' in conjunction with World Environment Day

This event will be showcasing original work of 2 photographers from MNS,

4 photographers & 2 speakers from KL's largest and most active photo group, KLickr.

The collection of artwork presented will illustrate a unique take from each photographer's personal perspective on the idea and concept of 'Environment'.

Original Copy will be the first creative platform brought forward by Aesthetics, as a step towards many creative events to come.

With over 10 years of experience in hip-hop turntablism & Djing, Dj Fuzz has held residences at major clubs around KL such as Zouk KL, Maison, Laundry and Republic.

And that's only the tip of the iceberg

He is a member of the Teh Tarik crew who have successfully made their mark in the local hip-hop scene

Also a member of the Stylustiks turntablism crew; comprised of DJ Uno of Pop Shuvit, DJ Cza of Ahli Fiqir& himself

He has mix shows on RED 104.9 and Fly FM and currently on Club Hitz, Hitz.FM

Is it just us or is the weather boiling these days?
Anyway, we know the best place to cool down your senses ;-)

Apparently was first to take the stage
Playing cover versions on pop music with a jazzy feel
Yehuda was awesome with his guitar
Omar rocked the drums while keyboardist David worked the crowd
Songbird Najwa topped it up with her amazing vocals

Rhaspsody was on next
Were still impressed
The band consisting of Ywenna Carollin (piano), Nicole (vocals)
Kevin (bass), Faz (guitar) and Jimmy (drums) made a lasting impression
Kinda felt like discovering John Mayer for the first time

The last band gave us a nostalgic trip indeed

FEATURING TOKYO BLUE

Tokyo Blue was formed in 2008 by bassist Hiroaki Maekawa, pianist

Ywenna Carollin and drummer Joshua Maran to compose and perform original instrumental music. This Malaysia- based band is considered one of Malaysia’s hottest jazz acts and are still actively gigging.

Heavily inﬂuenced by international artists and composers including Hiromi Uehara, Avishai Cohen, Marcus Miller, Joe Hisaishi and more, Tokyo Blue's music has essences of Jazz, Fusion, Latin, Progressive Rock and even Film music. The trio uses sweet melodies with funky rhythm section and odd meters at times, constantly pushing their limits of jazz writing and improvisation while still keeping the songs melodious and story-full.

While still performing at jazz venues, festivals and private events in Malaysia, after wowing local music lovers and industry veterans with their instrumental forays into jazz, local jazz trio Tokyo Blue stepped it up a notch with debut album ‘The Naked Soul’ which was just released in October 2009, that promises songs that bare the core of their beings and push the edge of experimentation.

The trio has a distinct sound featuring the adventurous bass playing, aggressive yet sensitive piano and rock solid drum beats. The album also includes variety of tunes that reﬂect the different sides of their personalities. With the tunes featuring pounding rock riff on piano, mellow fretless bass taking the lead, disco beat with montuno, melodious odd meter piano with double bass, funky latin beats with slap bass and more, Tokyo Blue demonstrates their capabilities to write creative and meaningful tunes, and even to entertain through instrumental music.

We recently just performed at Penang Island Jazz Festival 2009 (Malaysia), Jakarta 'Jazz Goes to Campus' November 2009 (Indonesia), and scheduled to perform in Bangkok Jazz Festival (Thailand) on MARCH 2010. Here's a little review of our performance in Indonesia:

RHAPSODY

Like high-school sweethearts who drifted apart only to discover the other was ‘The ONE’ after all, Rhapsody sees the magical duo of Ywenna and Nicole reunited with their favourite comrade-in-arms Kevin, Jimmy and Faz. Expect to be re-acquainted with the jazzy/ bluesy/soulful tunes that got you hooked, but like all journeys of self-discovery (that’s what we like to call the two-year hiatus), a different perspective will make those familiar sing-alongs seem new again. Serenading music-lovers with their vibrant blend of saucy jazz licks and catchy hooks, the captivating duo of Ywenna (on piano) and Nicole (on vocals) is supported by a colorful cast of brash music-makers (Kevin on bass, Faz on guitar

and Jimmy on drums) who live vicariously to their motto of 'Love good music. Love good food'. Soulful, passionate and simply beautiful, let Rhapsody's flowing rhythm get you into the mood for some jazzy loving. So get ready, the voracious lovers of good music and good food are back. For good.

Monsoon Records Presents Diandra Arjunaidi

Look forward to see Diandra Arjunaidi, the new kid on the block in the singer-songwriter scene. The bedroom songstress got her big break after being discovered on Youtube by local musicians. She has since then played at several Moonshine gigs, and has been featured on local indie music webshow, The Wknd Sessions.

Despite plans of taking things slow to focus on college, Diandra hasn’t been able to do so. A hype got in the way and her fanbase is constantly growing. She continues to charm the audience with her jazz and folk laced acoustic pop tunes.

Senoritas - a breath of fresh air for Malaysia music industry and to continue the
flame that fellow girl-groups like Elite and Feminin set alight years ago. An embodiment of
youthful obsession with music, dance and fashion, it is hoped that Senoritas as an
independent girl group can inspire fellow girls who aspire to tread in the same path and
show that making it as a top girl group is more than just glitz and glamour: a lot of hard
work, perseverance and strong values of sisterhood is needed. As of today, Senoritas had
made quite a name for themselves in the independent circuit and they continue to give it
their best shot to stay relevant and make a change in the local music scene.
Being new and move independently in local music scene, Senoritas is
enthusiastically expecting for so much more in the future and will definitely give their very
best in their future performances.

Senoritas was formed in early May 2008 when Lynnzay and her business
partner, Zyra Z. realized that local industry lacks of vocal groups with both singing
and dancing skills. With previous experiences as dancers and singers, they have
decided to combine both skills in this yet to be formed group, Senoritas. To add on,
Lynnzay has a talented little sister who is just 16 years old but is also giftedwith
dance skills and powerful voice. Finally, Lynnzay , Zyra Z. and Meera, got together
as a group with a mission to make a difference inthe local music scene. In addition,
their vision is to be one of the artistes that can bring Malaysia’s music worldwide
and definitely to higher level.
They also labeled themselves as flexible performers as they can perform with
instrumental or minus one, acoustic or with a band. They perform songs originally
sang by their influenced artistes such as Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears, All Saints
and etcetera for their various performances. They have now begun to perform their
own original songs and so far, the feedbacks from the audience have been indeed
positive. Somehow, they are still in the process to release their own original
materials.
Senoritas dare to label themselves as INDEPENDENT artist because they
are their own songs writer and they handle their own showmanship for their
performances which include songs selection, dance routine and wardrobe. They also
come up with their own image and style.
Being independent, aggressive, hip, energetic and urban to the listeners,
Senoritas promises to bring these elements in each and every performance of theirs
and they will definitely give you the most unforgettable, heart-pumping experiences.

Ferns was cultivated in a patch of fertile soil way back in 2004, after having lost the yen for the bumpy terrain of indie rock. The group decided to search for greener pastures amidst the lush, spongy meadows of pop music. A debut album, On Botany was released in 2007 garnering critical acclaim for both aural content and its Astroturf-blanketed cover design. Ferns has since been working on their yet-untitled album is which forthcoming much sooner than you think...
